Path Traveled

  • Start
    • Server does not hang during boot
      • All other Windows clients display this symptom, or there are no other Windows Clients, or it's too difficult to test the other Windows clients
        • The Linux server can ping its own address from its console's command line
          • The Windows machine can ping the IP address of the Linux server
            • The Linux server can ping the offending name or IP, or the offending name or IP is the same as the server's main IP.
              • The Windows client can ping the offending name or IP, or the offending name or IP is the same as the server's main IP.
                • It appears to be a http or web or browser problem

Put in the offending URL using the Netscape browser packaged with Linux (or grab it off the 'net if it wasn't packaged).

Did the web page display properly in the Linux server's Netscape browser?
